Studio S II
Monstro Elisasue’s Saggy Tit from The Substance
Studio S II was founded in 2020 by longtime collaborators Erica Sellers and Jeremy Silberberg. Rooted in a shared desire to challenge aesthetic expectations, the studio’s work explores layered dualities—corporeality and the mechanical, the gentle and the severe. Their furniture and spaces elude categorization, conjuring environments that are provocative and enigmatic. In 2025, they unveiled House of S II—a continuously evolving showhouse in Ridgewood, Queens, profiled by The New York Times for its subversion of aesthetics and the preconceptions of desire.
Erica Sellers holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and brings over a decade of experience in contemporary art. As Head of Production for Tavares Strachan, she oversaw large-scale installations at the 55th and 57th Venice Biennales, Prospect.3 New Orleans, the 57th Carnegie International, and SFMoMA. Since co-founding Studio S II, she has been recognized for her experimental design approach and was a featured contestant on Ellen’s Next Great Designer on HBO Max.
Jeremy Silberberg holds a BFA in Film from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Interior Design from Pratt Institute. His background bridges architecture, interiors, and fine art, with previous experience at AD100 firms Charlap Hyman & Herrero and Sachs Lindores, as well as production design roles in film and television.
Studio S II’s work has earned numerous accolades, including inclusion in the Wallpaper* USA Top 400 creatives, the Queens Art Fund (2024), the NYSCA Grant NYS Seed Funding Grant (2023), and the City Artist Corps Grant (2022).
