Mantis Shrimp Ornament Raffle Ticket

Handmade by Alison Dubois

David Attenborough (Voiceover): The mantis shrimp… Unlike their cisgendered counterparts, this bottom-dwelling diva has photoreceptors that allow it to see into the deep ultraviolet range (as if violet weren’t gay enough!). Where humans can only clock eight colors in the traditional pride flag, the mantis shrimp can identify seventy-three. This crustaceans not only perceives a different spectrum of color—it wears the rainbow on its shell, a living prism dazzling the ocean floor. Joseph’s coat could never.
