STARSTAR

Jerri Blank’s The Lowest Star Ornament Raffle Ticket

Handmade by Amy Sedaris

Was Jerri Blank queer or just gay for pay? Either way, the breakout character of Strangers With Candy, shown in a sheet of glorious wallet-sized school photos, is full of valuable life advice. One of her greatest nuggets of wisdom is that if you’re going to reach for the stars, “reach for the lowest star.” Do yourself a favor and hang this ornament on your tree’s lowest bough.
