AOL Dial-up Screen Ornament Raffle Ticket

Handmade by Annelise Capossela

Dearly beloved, we gather here today to mourn the loss of the AOL dial-up screen. On September 30th, 2025, we said farewell to the little golden man who once took you by your little hand and ferried you out into the ether as he played his grinding, grating song of possibility. In this high-speed age, connection is taken for granted. But truly connecting takes time, and he knew that. He gave you time to sit in your desires as the portal slowly opened its gaping maw to suck you through to a world of queer delights.. E.M. Forster said, “only connect.” Just hope mom doesn’t pick up the landline. Hello!
